The range of materials used can be classified into four main types:

• Insulation: Glass and Ceramic fabrics and needle mats
• Reinforcement: Stainless wire mesh, Aramid fabrics or Glass fabrics
• Chemical Barrier: PTFE films or Fluoro-Elastomers
• Chemical Barriers and duct covers
